innovating mycology

Welcome to our Project Morels R&D

We are a sustainable agriculture research and production start-up that discovered an environmental process to induce sclerotia formation and fruiting morel mushrooms (Morchella esculenta) on self-formulated agar in petri dishes. We basically solved the first step of propagating the fungi, and can do so repeatedly. We are convinced commercialization of this process will change the morel supply chain market.

The whole eco-system currently pays top dollar for morels (direct consumers, culinary professionals, food processing, and wholesale distributors, etc.), and scaling up our indoor method will bring more morels to the market more regularly.  Our customer and market discovery research speaks on one story after another through the entire business “food chain”.

HISTORY

All-In Specialty* was awarded in 2022 a University of Wisconsin Center for Technology Commercialization microgrant and thereby submitted and was awarded the UW-CTC’s Ideadvance Program for the business development and commercialization of the initial R&D results.

We were then invited by the Small Business Innovation Research division of the National Science Foundation America's Seed Fund to submit a proposal for the NSF SBIR Phase I program.  As part of the program submission requirements, we were required to conduct simple and more in-depth market research contacts and interviews.  The focus to validate market demand and interest for commercialization of initial research innovation.

In March 2023, upon the due diligence and grueling requirements and submission process for a proposal to the National Science Foundation for the NSF SBIR Phase I Seed Fund program, we are thrilled to announce we have been awarded $275K in Phase I funds [Award Number (FAIN): 2325697].

This huge step for us validates that the initial research findings are of significant value and interest in our anticipated business model is worthy of investment.  This positions us stronger for the current shareholders and future investors.
