These special pages are meant to provide you the chance to participate in a very brief anonymous survey and also learn more about our innovative Project Morel R&D efforts.
The opportunities we’re trying to address are that Morels are the # 1 most sought-after gourmet mushroom and that mushroom demand in general is on the rise. Due to their life cycle not being well understood, a vast majority of morel supply is procured by foraging methods that can damage ecosystems and are labor-intensive.
We are a sustainable agriculture research and production start-up that discovered an environmental process to induce sclerotia formation and fruiting morel mushrooms (Morchella esculenta) on self-formulated agar in petri dishes. We are convinced commercialization of this process will change the business model.
The entire mushroom business eco-system currently pays top dollar for morels (direct consumers, culinary professionals, food processing, and wholesale distributors, etc.), and scaling up our indoor method will bring more morels to the market more regularly.
All-In Specialty* was awarded a University of Wisconsin Center for Technology Commercialization microgrant and thereby submitted for and WON the UW-CTC’s Ideadvance Program Grant for the business development and commercialization of our initial R&D results.
This link provides you the original presentation of application for the program, limited to 7 minutes length and in the program’s specified format and structure:
Solving the Morel Mystery:
1. Are you familiar with, use or have ever used Morel Mushrooms? Yes or No
2. Would you agree PRICE and Availability are the biggest challenge to [ using-buying-selling ] Morel Mushrooms? Yes or No
3. If morels were significantly cheaper and easier to get, would you [ use/buy-sell ] more morel mushrooms? Yes or No
4. If we receive NSF Phase 1 funding for our Indoor Morel Research & Production Project, would you be interest in learning more? Yes or No
We have been invited by the National Science Foundation to submit a proposal for the NSF SBIR Phase I seed fund program, and are currently working diligently to meet the deadlines as requested.
As part of the program submission requirements, we are conducting some simple and more in-depth market research contacts and interviews. The focus is to validate market demand and interest for commercialization of our initial research innovation.
We need your opinion and would value a discussion if you would be so kind. At the very least are 3-4 questions requiring the simplest responses to.
If you are interested in our research project and what we are developing, then send us a message and we will add you to our insiders list. We keep our list very private.
